How do I quote photos?
Please quote the photos in the following form: Author, title/caption, date. Collection © Musée Curie

Why can't I download images myself?
The images distributed by the Curiothèque are only available without downloading.
Musée Curie cannot offer free access to all the collections it manages. Some images are protected as intellectual property. In addition, Musée Curie is the custodian of certain collections and must comply with the contractual conditions issued by their owner.
You are solely responsible for reuse of the image and must therefore ensure respect for the moral right of the author of the work, including the right of authorship.
How do I download images?
After you submit a request using the form, a link will be sent to you by email.
Where can I find the application form?
Once your order is confirmed, the application form will appear and must be completed online.
In what cases can photographs be used on a fee basis?
In general, any commercial use requires a commercial license. Use in a private setting (without publication) is free of charge. All details are available on the “Reuse” page.
Why are some photos right-protected?
Images are protected as intellectual property.
Works enter the public domain 70 years after the author's death. For more information on the term of protection of works, please refer to Chapter III of the Intellectual Property Code
If reuse in another country is planned, users must check whether their project complies with the law of that country
How can I report an error in a photo’s description?
We provide as much information as possible in our photo credit line and metadata. If, despite our efforts, you notice an error in the caption, date or simple description of a photograph, please notify us at documentation.museum[at]curie.fr
What should I do if I think my copyright is not respected?
If you hold a copyright to any of the documents in our collections and believe it is incorrectly reported or unduly accessible, please contact us at documentation.musee@curie.fr
